Loudoun County Wineries You Have to Visit
Zephaniah Farm Vineyard

The special history of this winery qualifies it one of the best Loudon County wineries in our eyes. The land on which the winery is built has been owned and cared for by the same family for over three generations. The tasting room is the living room of the farmhouse which was built around 1820. It is filled with quaint antique ornaments and vintage furniture.
Tastings for larger groups are also available by appointment in the newly-renovated rustic-chic barn. Zephaniah Farm Vineyard is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 17:30 so be sure to call and make a reservation ahead of time.
Greenhill Vineyards
What makes this establishment one of the best Loudoun County wineries is the fact that they exclusively use Virginia-grown grapes. While this may not sound that impressive, an astounding number of wineries import some of their grapes from regions as far as the West Coast. Their Blanc de Blancs sparkling and the Mythology red blend are particularly popular.
Greenhill provides a number of picnic tables with beautiful views for you to utilise while you sample their wines and enjoy a few snacks. While the establishment is dog friendly, they do not allow children. They are conveniently open every day of the week between 12:00 and 18:00.
Chrysalis Vineyards

Of all the Loudoun County wineries to visit when you are feeling a little peckish, Chrysalis Vineyards is the one. Not only are they a producer of excellent wine but they offer an incredibly delicious selection of cheeses too. Furthermore, they are known for growing more Norton grapes in one place than any other vineyard in the world.
We would highly recommend tasting Sarah’s Patio Red, the Schitz & Giggles fruit-forward Norton wine and the Albarino Verde. If you are feeling particularly hungry you could even order a pizza or panini from the Little River Bakehouse on the property. The winery is open from 12:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Thursday, 12:00 to 20:00 on Friday and Saturday and 12:00 to 19:00 on Sunday.

This establishment is widely considered to be one of the best wineries in Loudoun County as it is cherished for being an outdoor garden winery as well as a beautiful events space. The atmosphere is serene and the garden is truly a sight to behold. The landscaping is the brilliant work of Greenworks Landscaping – the winery’s sister company. Should you have the pleasure of visiting the Fleetwood Farm Winery, do not forget to take a gentle stroll through the beautiful gardens before leaving.
Just a short drive away from DC, Ashburn, and Reston, we would highly recommend taking a day to experience the Fleetwood Farm Winery. It should be noted that only individuals over the age of 21 are allowed to visit this winery and unfortunately no pets are allowed on the property.

Willowcroft Farm Vineyards is the oldest of all the Loudoun County wineries. A pioneer of the wine industry in Loudoun, it dates back to the earliest days of modern viticulture in Virginia. The vineyards were planted at a time when the Virginia Extension Service still considered it highly risky to plant European varietals on American soil.
