You’ve simply got to love a restaurant offering both in-house vegan eating options as well as cook-at-home meal kits that are 100% plant-based.

It all started during lockdown when folks were ordered to stay home and stay safe. During this time, Six By Nico got creative by launching a now-successful cook-at-home meal kit service.

Whether you’re planning a night out or a cosy evening in, there’s a six-course vegan fine dining menu just waiting to be explored.

Find them at: 60 Spring Gardens, Manchester, M2 2BQ

It’s hard not to love a way of eating as perfect a fit to the vegan lifestyle as Indian cuisine. And courtesy of Dishoom, an entire world of plant-based Indian street food awaits.

Not only are their prices unbeatable, but so is their service. Located right in the heart of the Masonic Hall on Bridge Street, their menu boasts just about the best Bombay-inspired vegan grub in the city.
Be sure to try their famous chilli chicken with a hot and cheesy naan on the side. Enjoy the goo!

Find them at: 32 Bridge St, Manchester, M3 3BT

Teacup Kitchen

Tea lovers, unite! Over a vegan meal, of course.

At Manchester’s Teacup Kitchen, lovers of all things plant-based get to dig into a crazy selection of hearty vegan breakfasts and brunches.

Our favourite would have to be the full vegan breakfast: a generous helping of mushrooms, falafel, and fresh avocado.

Just as the name suggests, there’s also a mind-blowing variety of teas to choose from – not to mention coconut milk and even soya alternatives. And to top it all off: vegan cake anybody?

Find them at: 55 Thomas St, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M4 1NA

Eating a plant-based diet no longer means sticking to boiled greens only and worrying about turning into a boring Benny.

At Manchester’s Pizza Punks, you’ll find what we’ve come to consider just about the best plant-based pizza on the block.

Be sure to try out their famous pizza party box.

For an experience altogether different to the high street standard, visit Pizza Punks for a true and textured wood-fire sourdough experience.

Your vegan food Manchester loving friends will thank you for it.

Find them at: 34-40 Grey Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Manchester, NE1 6AE

V Revolution

Manchester’s V Revolution is where vegan meets the all-American dining experience. Whether you’re looking to cure a hangover or simply to satisfy a craving, they’ve got the perfect fix.

V Revolution is all about junk food done differently. They’re passionate about creating new concepts for plant-based diners to sink their teeth into: trendy sandwiches, hotdogs swimming in delicious sauce, and towering veggie burgers are just some of the inventions you’ll find on their colourful menu.
V Revolution will knock everything you thought you knew about eating vegan out of the water.

Try, try, try. This is vegan food Manchester style.

Find them at: 20-26 Edge St, Manchester, M4 1HN

Unicorn Grocery

While not your traditional eatery, Manchester’s Unicorn Grocery deserves a spot on our list because of the sheer variety of vegan and vegetarian products on offer. In short: this is vegan heaven.

They’ve got a deli to die for – with everything from delicious chickpea noodles to falafel patties on offer all year round.

When you go, go early to avoid the queue.

Find them at: 89 Albany Rd, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 OBN

Bundobust

Fancy a non-nonsense school dinner style dining experience with diners seated on benches and food served on biodegradable trays? Then be sure to make a stop at Bundobust on Piccadilly.

The menu is exhausting and a truly beautiful thing to behold. Our favourite would have to be Raghda Pethis – a dish made up of mushy peas, just a hint of spice, hunks of chopped fresh tomato, a sprinkling of red onion, and a tasty dash of tamarind chutney on the side.

They do vegan Indian like we’ve never experienced it before.

Find them at: 61 Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 2AG

Since it’s impossible to include too many Indian vegan eateries on a list of this sort, we’ve decided to feature another top choice: Manchester’s Mumbai to London Café.

We were drawn in by the chalkboard menu and its interesting mix of street food options. Think samosas, chaats, puris, curries, and a spectacular range of grilled dishes.

Also, they offer good value for money at this vegan cafe Manchester locals love.

Find them at: Market St, Droylsden, Manchester

Inspire Café

Housed in a former church in Levenshulme, Inspire Café demanded our attention with its delicious range of vegan homemade cakes.

They’ve got just about the best fare any vegan café in Manchester has to offer, and at a great price too.
Be sure to try one of their many varieties of freshly made soups – and don’t miss out on the butternut goulash. You’ll see why it’s a vegan restaurant Manchester favourite!

Find them at: 747 Stockport Rd, Manchester, M19 3AR

Pull Up

At Pull Up you’ll find more than just a smattering of the magic of the Caribbean.

On the plant-based menu is everything from fried plantain and rice-‘n-peas to dumplings and fresh slaw. And be sure to clock in for their famous Rasta Roast on Sundays, which is both vegan as well as gluten-free.

What’s more, they’ve got an impressive selection of vegan-friendly drinks to choose from. Served in oversized pitchers, naturally. As drinks should be.

Try Pull Up and you’ll see why it’s rated as one of the best vegan restaurants in Manchester.
