The Greenhouse – 2 Michelin Stars
Work up an appetite walking through Hyde Park, and end your journey at The Greenhouse. The entrance to the tranquil two Michelin star French restaurant is lined with trees and foliage and the décor is reserved to create a welcoming atmosphere.
The head chef’s goal is to create balance and harmony within each dish, so there are plenty of options that don’t need meat to be amazing. If the occasion calls for seriously impressing your favourite veggie friends or relatives, only The Greenhouse will do.
AW Restaurant At The Westbury – 1 Michelin Star
On the outskirts of Mayfair, lies Alyn Williams’ culinary contribution to The Westbury hotel. The restaurant does beer particularly well and is one of only a handful of restaurants in town that pairs its food with beer! And the vegetarian options are just as good, with a dedicated vegetarian tasting menu consisting of dishes like “Roasted cauliflower, hazelnuts, Muscat grapes and black garlic.” Yuuuuuum! ?
Galvin La Chapelle – 1 Michelin Star
If you’re in the mood for French cuisine, then visit Michelin-starred Galvin La Chapelle. The City locale of the popular Galvin brother’s restaurants has introduced both a vegetarian tasting menu and vegan tasting menu.
Housed in the grand St. Botolph’s Hall in Spital Square, the restaurant’s classic dining room elevates the food further, with highlights including the “Quinoa & freekeh filled courgette flower, tomato jam, basil & pine nuts”. Recently, the Michelin-star duo shunned plastic straws too, in favour of biodegradable alternatives, in an increased effort to go greener in their restaurants.
Tamarind
Naturally, Indian food is amazing for vegetarians and in London, we’re blessed with having one of the world’s first Michelin-starred Indian restaurants, Tamarind. This is the place to go for vibrant flavour; innovative, seasonal dishes are authentically brought to life by Head Chef Peter Joseph and his team who cook wonderfully authentic North West Indian food in a traditional tandoor oven.
