What is the Oldest Winery in Arizona?
One of the oldest and one of the best Arizona wineries is the Sonoita Vineyards which started in 1974 and opened in 1983. So, while Arizona winemaking is certainly not an ancient practice, they have been working hard to establish themselves for the past few decades and their product is certainly on par with some of the best wines on a global scale.

Charron Vineyards

This beautiful vineyard is both one of the oldest and one of the best wineries in Arizona. It was founded in 1994 and the 4200-foot elevation is conducive to growing excellent grapes as the climate is dominated by warm days and gentle, cool nights.
We would highly recommend a visit to their tasting room as it is surrounded by the exquisite vineyard landscape and boasts a clear view of the Santa Rita mountains. If, however, you can’t quite make it there then you can also sample their wine at a number of other renowned establishments which are scattered across Arizona, Tucson, and Vail.

This is amongst the more low-key of the Arizona wineries. It specialises in small-batch boutique wines that are carefully crafted using only the finest sources of fruit and oak. Coronado Vineyards
Located in the southeast region of Arizona, the Coronado Vineyards has been open since 2006 following the renovation of the property which had previously functioned as a golf course. The name of this establishment was inspired by a large pine tree on the property – the only tree to have survived the renovations.
The wine tasting section is located on a beautiful patio with a breath-taking view of the surrounding landscape. Their selection is expansive so you are guaranteed to find something that is to your liking. On weekdays, they are open from 10:00 to 17:00, on Saturdays from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Sundays from 10:00 to 16:00.
Page Springs Cellars
The motto of this winery, considered to be one of the best wineries in Arizona, is “something special for everyone”. When you visit their tasting rooms, you will find a range of individuals from first-time tasters to semi-professional experts. Page Spring Cellars frequently hosts delightful music evenings which pair excellently with any one of their wines. On Saturdays, they are open from 11:00 to 21:00, on Tuesdays from 11:00 to 17:00, and on every other day, they are open from 11:00 until 19:00.
