Monarch

Monarch is a wood-fired, modern Italian restaurant serving handmade pasta, steaks and fresh seafood and hosted Two-Michelin Star Chef, Danny Grant and his team. The space is spacious and elegant with a refined luxurious menu. The overall approach to preparation is light, fresh and technique-driven, according to the restaurant. Must-try dishes include fresh prawns charred to perfection alongside wood-fired roasted artichoke and fire-roasted octopus ala plancha.

This Michelin star restaurant in Dallas’ menu is varied with prices ranging from $18 for cocktails, Texas wagyu carpaccio, Wood-oven roasted Tiger Prawns and house-made pasta ranging from $18-65. Signature dishes include whole, live Alaskan King Crab and 50 oz of Porterhouse charred in coals, lemon, arugula, olive oil and sea salt. There are also vegan options available and a full bar. The restaurant is available for private events such as business lunches, dinners, cocktail receptions, and more. Edoku Omakase prides itself on only using seasonal produce, with all its ingredients sourced from local farmers’ markets.

The menu is extensive and varied with very reasonable prices. Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, with branches in Houston and Dallas, is widely recognised as one of the highest quality restaurants in the US. A must for meat lovers, Pappas Bros serves perfectly grilled steaks and cuts, Bone-in-beef dishes and their double lamb chops are said to be sublime. They use corn-fed beef, and USDA Prime graded cuts.

Their website and menu do not list prices. They have an extensive wine list of 3,900 distinct wines and they also sell wine by the glass. Rise is a Michelin star restaurant in Dallas that elevates the simple egg into sublime soufflés. With its elegant space and bistro wine bar style, this Dallas Michelin star restaurant oozes Gallic gastronomy and French style. Rise is the first of its kind. In every corner of their restaurants, patrons can spot French torchons, and on leaving, patrons are given a printed “Thought for the Day,” an inspiring quote to keep the memory alive. It is kid-friendly and children gravitate to their painted frogs, Pierre & Michelle.

Located in the Dallas Design District, The Charles is elegant and the Chef and staff behind the restaurant liken it to classic “Italian food seen through a Texan lens”. Must-try dishes include Focaccia di Charles, the Pork Blade Chop and Charred Octopus. The menu features salad entrées, seafood, meats, vegetables and pastas. The Charles offers delivery, takeouts, sit-down dining, drive-thru, and indoor dining. It’s a good restaurant for groups, and it has ample private lot parking and valet parking. It is wheelchair accessible.

Selda Mediterranean

Interestingly, this Mediterranean grill also features Hookahs and it has added Turkish dishes to its menu since reopening after Covid. Their wine list features wine from all of the world’s major grape-growing regions, including famous producers, hard-to-get cult wines and little-known gems. In addition, they serve a selection of fine whiskeys, single malt scotches, tequilas, spirits and liquors from around the world.

Must-try dishes included Halloumi Cheese, Beyti Special and Grilled Pistachio Meatballs. Selda Mediterranean offers delivery, takeouts, sit-down, outdoor, and indoor dining. There are many vegetarian options. There’s both private lot parking and bike parking available. The best nights are on Monday, Friday, and Saturday. There are happy hour specials and gender-neutral restrooms.

This women-owned restaurant features Vietnamese home cooking and is inspired by the food served by the street vendors in Vietnam. Ngon is restaurant owner Carol Nguyen’s first Vietnamese restaurant after a decade in the restaurant industry. She was inspired to introduce Texans to the many different foods of Vietnam. Many of the recipes come from her grandmother.

Ngon has two meanings: it means “delicious” in Vietnamese, and it is also named after Carol’s main inspiration and hero, her mother, whose name is Ngôn. The menu features Vietnamese starters, noodles, broths, rice and Ca Ri dishes. Their King Salmon and Duck are not to be missed, as are their Shrimp Rolls. A full bar is available. Ngon offers takeout, sit-down, outdoor, and indoor dining. They accept both credit cards and Apple pay. There is also free WiFi.

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille – Park District
