Franck’s is one of the best upscale restaurants in Salt Lake City. A once home converted into a restaurant, Franck’s is quaint, and friendly, and the food is vibrant and fabulous. Start with one of their signature soups or crispy Brussels sprouts, with tarragon, parmesan, almonds, and an apple cider vinegar reduction. That all-American staple, their meatloaf is their most popular entrée, made with a blueberry-lavender sauce, confit blueberries, and crispy onions. There is a new high-end burger special every Thursday that many consider the very best in town.

Current Fish and Oyster are considered one of the finest dining restaurants in SLC, with fresh and delicious seafood daily. The space is modern with a great menu. Try the calamari appetiser, different from any other calamari around with its grilled cooking method to the lemon aioli to the fingerling potato side. The smoked fish dip is sublime, and favourite entrées include the cioppino (seafood stew) and the poached tuna melt (served at lunch only).

Finca also offers outdoor seating on a beautiful patio.

SLC Eatery is considered one of the best places for a really good meal in town. With small plates and even a dim sum style cart regularly passing each table, diners can indulge in a variety of tastes and textures. The menu at SLC Eatery rotates seasonally but favourite signature dishes include the oysters, grilled calamari, and the Eatery Burger, served with incredibly good mini Hasselback fries.

If you’re going to Park City, visit their sister restaurant, Handle, serving similar brilliant food on historic Main Street.

We have saved the best for last. Italian cuisine at its finest, Valter’s Osteria is located in a fine dining setting, with impeccable service. Every dollar spent is well worth a meal to remember. Signature menu items include the chopped agnelli salad, tutta pasta di valter (pasta sampler), lasagna (Valter’s family recipe), butternut squash and sage ravioli, “pizza” carne, and the chicken piccata. The lemon gelato served with local honey and salt is unarguably a must.

Not only does Utah offer the outdoor enthusiast killer adventures but there are also plenty of fine restaurants to replenish spent energy. All of these Michelin star restaurants’ Salt Lake City options deserve to be on your bucket list!
