Did you ever see the movie, “Night at the Museum?” The American Museum of Natural History is the very one featured in the movie, less the talking head and aggressive Mongols, of course. However, the real history is there ready to be discovered. Located in Central Park, this museum takes up four blocks. Built in 1869, it’s one of the largest museums in the world, with 27 interconnected buildings, a planetarium, library and 45 exhibition halls. Its claim to fame, besides being in a movie, are the dinosaur halls and hall of Ocean Life.
